Some people feel

THAT A SATISFYING, WORTHWHILE LIFE CONSISTS OF:

A good education
Close friends
A good marriage and healthy children
Success in a business or profession
Helping those in need
Involvement with Israel and the Jewish community

These are important . . . . .

yet we all know people who have or do these things but who aren't satisfied.

Why? Because there is something even more important than all these,
the Holy Scriptures* tell us five vital facts we need to know.

*All quotations from the Tenach, both English and Hebrew, are taken from the Jewish Bible.

God is the source of a satisfying, worthwhile life

"Thou wilt show me the path of life:
in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures forevermore."

Psalm 16.11
This kind of life is the result of a close relationship with God.

"In thy presence . . . . at thy right hand" speaks of a personal relationship
which can be as intimate as the one between Abraham and God:
"Abraham my friend". Isaiah 41:8

DEEP DOWN, JUST ABOUT EVERYONE
WANTS A LIFE AND RELATIONSHIP LIKE THIS.

AS A JEWISH SCIENTIST PUT IT:

"The Jewish nature and soul needs to know God. This is its purpose on
earth. Our souls are looking for God and we are trying to know God."

Why, then, aren't most people experiencing this life and relationship?

Man has separated himself from God.

GOD'S CHARACTER IS THE STANDARD BY WHICH MAN IS TO LIVE.

"Ye shall be holy: for I the Lord your God am holy." Leviticus 19:2

Anytime man deviates from God's holiness, he violates God's standard,
and this is called sin. Obviously, then, all of us have sinned.

"For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not."

Since God is holy and just, He will not establish a personal relationship with
anyone until his sin is dealt with because He cannot allow sin in His presence.

"Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil,
and canst not look on iniquity". Habakkuk 1:13

Because sin is a violation of His standard and character, God must judge man's sin and reject it.
This is why sin causes spiritual death and results in separation from God .

"But everyone shall die for his own iniquity (sin)." Jeremiah 31:30

"Your iniquities have ever made a separation between you and your God,
and your sins have caused Him to hide His face from you." Isaiah 59:2

As long as sin separates us from God, we can't enjoy the life
and relationship God wants us to have.

But can't man solve the problem
by living properly, by prayer, repentance and good deeds!

No, man cannot remove the sin barrier by his own effort.

"And enter not into judgment with thy servant; for no living man
can be regarded righteous before thee." Psalm 143:2 (cf. Ezekiel 33:13)

Human effort is not adequate because, in God's sight,
"We are all as an unclean thing and all our righteousnesses (good deeds) are as a filthy garment."

Isaiah 64:5

Human effort is not adequate
because man cannot do enough to solve the problem.
"No one can in any wise redeem his brother, nor can he give to God redemption
for himself; for the ransom of their soul is too costly." Psalm 49:8-9

But, then how can this problem of spiritual death and separation from God be solved?

GOD MUST TAKE THE INITIATIVE;
HE MUST PROVIDE THE SOLUTION.
"But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave." Psalm 49:16

The sin barrier can be removed by believing

God's Word (faith) and by having the blood of the atonement.

Abraham was an example of how the sin barrier can be removed.

"And he believed in the Lord; and He (God) counted it to him for righteousness." Genesis 15:6

We must follow the same pattern.

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee:
because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the Lord forever." Isaiah 26:3-4 (cf. Habakkuk 2:4)

But Moses said that one more thing is essential, the blood of the atonement.

"For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar
to make an atonement for your souls;
for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul." Leviticus 17:11 (cf. Leviticus 10:17;4:35)

But why would God want man to go through the awful procedure of killing an animal?

When the offerer saw the sacrifice suffering and bleeding for the sins which he had committed,
he was impressed with the awfulness of sin and the penalty of death
(Ezekiel 18:4, 20) the sinner deserved.

THE SACRIFICE SHOWED HIM GOD'S:

* HOLINESS because of His hatred of all evil,
* JUSTICE because He does not leave sin unpunished,
* MERCY because of His readiness to pardon the truly repentant and believing by providing
a substitute for him.

THE ANIMAL SACRIFICE THUS PROVIDED THE BLOOD OF
ATONEMENT AND WAS AN ACT OF FAITH ACCEPTABLE TO GOD.

But without a priesthood and without a temple, there can be no
sacrifices. How can we have the blood of atonement today?

God has provided the blood of the atonement for today.

"All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way;
and the Lord hath caused the iniquity of us all to fall on him."

Isaiah 53.6

"For he was cut out of the land of the living; for the transgressions of my people was he stricken."

Isaiah 53:8

"And he took off the sin of many."

Isaiah 53:12

IN THE PROLOGUE TO ISAIAH 53 (ISAIAH 52:13-15)
THE AUTHOR IDENTIFIES THE "HE" OF THESE PASSAGES.

He is described as God's servant who will be exalted.
In other parts of his work, Isaiah equates this servant of God with Messiah. (e.g. Isaiah 42:1)

God's provision of the blood of atonement through the Messiah follows

the same principles God set up in the sacrifice system.

SIN-OFFERING:

atonement for a man by means of a sacrifice.

PESACH:

atonement for a family by means of a sacrifice.

YOM KIPPUR:

atonement for a nation by means of a sacrifice.

MESSIAH:

atonement for all by means of a sacrifice.

As we have seen, under the sacrifice system personal faith was necessary along with
the blood of atonement. So also faith is necessary with the sacrifice of Messiah.
He should be the object of our faith today.

But how can we know who Messiah is?

God made sure we could recognize Messiah by certain specific identifying marks.
These are described by the prophets of Israel.

His ancestry was from the family of David (Jeremiah 23:5-6).
The city of his birth was Bethlehem (Micah 5:1).
He had a supernatural nature (Jeremiah 23:5-6; Micah 5:1; Isaiah 9:5-6).
The manner of his execution was crucifixion (Psalm 22:14-17).
He rose from the dead (Psalm 16:10; Isaiah 53:10).
The time of his coming was before the destruction of Herod's Temple in 70 CE (Daniel 9:26)

Do you have any idea if anyone has
fulfilled these prophecies, or has even come close?

HISTORY TELLS US THAT JESUS OF NAZARETH
FULFILLED THESE AND MANY OTHER PROPHECIES.

There are at least 48 specific prophecies concerning Messiah which Jesus fulfilled.
The probability that one person could fulfill all 48 prophecies is 1 out of 10 with 157 zeros after it!

During his lifetime many people called him Messiah ("Christ" is the Greek translation)
and believed in him (Matthew 16:16; John 1:45-51; Acts 6:7)

Many people since that time, both Jews and Gentiles, have had their sins forgiven
and have gained a personal relationship with the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob through Messiah
Jesus. Through him one becomes a completed person; e.g., a Jewish person becomes a completed Jew.

Since the blood of atonement has been provided
through Messiah Jesus, there is only one thing left for you to do.

You must by faith receive Messiah Jesus into your life
in order to have a personal relationship with God and a satisfying, worthwhile life.

"To all who received him (the Messiah), to those who believed in his name,
he gave the right to become children of God." John 1:12.

Receiving Messiah Jesus involves a moral decision to turn to God's way
and from your own, to trust Messiah Jesus to forgive your sins and bring you
into a right relationship with God.

When you receive Messiah Jesus by faith (trusting what he has done for you),
he comes into your life and gives you the power to live a satisfying, worth-while life.

Jesus says

"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens
the door, I will come into him and fellowship with him, and he with me." Revelation 3:20

Some people think that receiving Messiah Jesus by faith means your're no longer Jewish.

THAT'S NOT TRUE. AS JESUS PUT IT:

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have
not come to abolish them but to fulfill them." Matthew 5:17

THE APOSTLE PAUL FELT THE SAME WAY

"It is because of the hope of Israel that I am bound with this chain" (in jail). Acts 28:20

Are you still here?

Don't let anything hold you back-
why not invite Messiah Jesus to give you a right relationship with God right now?

Remember,

God is the source of a worthwhile life. Your sin has separated you from God.
God's provision through Messiah Jesus is the solution to the sin barrier.
The only thing God asks you to do is to trust Messiah Jesus to forgive your
sins and give you a right relationship with God.

YOU

can receive Messiah Jesus by faith right now through prayer.

Prayer is talking to God and is a good way to express your faith.

You may want to use this prayer to express your decision to trust Messiah Jesus.

"Messiah Jesus, I admit that I have sinned. I believe that you have provided
the blood of atonement for me. I receive you as my Messiah. Thank you for
forgiving my sins and coming into my life as you promised."

Messiah Jesus
always keeps his promises.

DID YOU RECEIVE HIM BY FAITH JUST NOW?
DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS?

It means that the following promises are now true in your life:

Messiah Jesus came into your life, and he's there permanently. (Revelation 3:20; Hebrews 13:5)
All your sins are forgiven. (Colossians 2:13).
You have a brand new relationship with God - you're his child! (John 1:12)
You've become a completely new person inside, and you've got a great new life!
(2 Corinthians 5:17; 1 John 5:11-13)
You've been set free from yourself to help others. (John 8:31-35; Galatians 5:13).

So, what now?

CONTINUE TO TRUST MESSIAH JESUS.

The way you began is the way to keep going (Colossians 2-6; Hebrews 11:6).
If you keep trusting him, you'll grow in your new relationship.

Here are a few suggestions:

Let him communicate to you, read his words (1 Peter 2:2).
Talk to him about everything (Philippians 4:6-7; 1 Peter 5:7).
Get together with others who have received him (Hebrew 10:24-25).
Tell other people about him (Acts 1:8). Remember to be tactful and kind.

"From all your filthiness will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you,
and I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes" Ezekiel 36:25-27.

Don't forget, keep trusting him!

Algunas Personas Creen . . .

Que una vida que es maravillosa consiste en:

• una buena educación
  
• íntimos amigos
  
• un matrimonio feliz con hijos sanos
  
• éxito en un negocio o profesión
  
• dar ayuda a los necesitados
  
• relacionarse con Israel y la comunidad judía

ESTAS COSAS SON IMPORTANTES... . . . .

Sin embargo todos conocemos á personas que
tienen o hacen estas cosas pero no son satisfechas...

¿POR QUÉ?

Porque hay algo aún mas importante que todo esto. Las Sagradas Escrituras* incluyen cinco principios vitales que necesitamos saber.

* Todas las citas, tanto en español como en hebreo, vienen de la Biblia judía.

DIOS ES LA FUENTE DE UNA VIDA QUE SATISFACE Y VALE.

"Me harás conocer el sendero de la vida: en Tu presencia está la abundancia de alegrías; á Tu diestra se hallan delicias eternamente." Salmo 16.11

Este tipo de vida es el resultado de una relación muy íntima con Dios.

"En Tu presencia...a Tu Diestra" habla de una relación personal la cual puede ser tan íntima como entre Abraham y Dios: "Mi amigo Avra-ham." Y-sha-ya (Isaías) 41:8

MUY PROFUNDO EN EL CORAZÓN,
CASI TODOS QUIEREN UNA VIDA Y
RELACIÓN COMO ESTA.

COMO LO EXPRESÓ UN CIENTÍFICO JUDÍO:

"La naturaleza y el alma del judío necesita conocer a Dios. Esto es su propósito en la tierra. Nuestra alma busca a Dios y trata de conocer a Dios."

Entonces, ¿Por qué no experimenta la mayoria de la gente
esta vida y relación?

El hombre se ha separado de Dios.

EL CARÁCTER DE DIOS ES EL MODELO POR EL CUAL EL HOMBRE HA DE VIVIR.

"Seréis santos, porque Yo, el Eterno, vuestro Dios, soy santo." Levítico 19:2

Siempre que el hombre desvía de la santidad do Dios, viola el
modelo de Dios, y esto se llama pecado. Pues, claro, que todos hemos pecado.

"Ciertamente no hay en la tierra hombre justo que haga bien y no peque." Eclesiastés (Qohelet) 7:20 (comparar Salmo 53:3-4):

Siendo Dios santo y justo, no establece ninguna relación con ninguna persona hasta que sea eliminado su pecado porque Él no puede soportar el pecado en Su presencia.

"Tu eres de ojos demasiado puros para mirar el mal, ni puedes
contemplar la iniquidad." Habacuc 1:13

Porque el pecado es una violación de su modelo y carácter, Dios tiene que juzgar y rechazar el pecado del hombre. Esta es la razón por la cual el pecado causa la muerte espiritual y la separación de Dios.

"Antes bien, cada uno morirá por su propia iniquidad (pecado)." Irm-ya-(Jeremías) 31:30 (comparar Y-hezkel (Ezekiel) 18:20)

"Vuestras iniquidades separan entre vosotros y vuestro Dios, y vuestros pecados han ocultado de vosotros (Su) rostro, de modo que Él no (os) oiga." Y-sha-ya (Isaías) 59:2

Mientras que el pecado nos separa de Dios, no podemos gozar de la vida y la relación con Dios que Él quiere que tengamos.

Pero, ¿No puede el hombre
resolver el problema por vivir bien, por oración, arrepentimiento, y buenas
obras?

No, el hombre no puede quitar la barrera del pecado por su propio esfuerzo

"­ Y no entres en juicio con Tu siervo, porque ningún viviente podrá ser justo delante de Ti!" Salmo 143:2 (comparar Y-hez-qel (Ezekiel) 33:13)

El esfuerzo humano no basta, porque en los ojos de Dios,

"Pues nosotros todos somos como cosa inmunda; y como vestido
inmundo todas nuestras justicias (buenas obras)." Y-sha-ya (Isaías) 64:5

El esfuerzo humano no basta porque el hombre no puede hacer bastante para resolver el problema.

"Ninguno de ellos podrá en manera alguna redimir al hermano, ni dar a Dios su rescate; (porque la redención de su alma es costosa)."-- Salmo 49:7 y 8

Pero, entonces, ¿Cómo se puede resolver este
problema de la muerte espiritual y la separación de Dios?

DIOS TIENE QUE TOMAR LA INICIATIVA.
ÉL TIENE QUE PROVEER
LA SOLUCIÓN.

"Empero Dios redimirá mi alma del poder de la sepultura." -- Salmo 49:16

La barrera del pecado se puede quitar por creer la Palabra de Dios (la fe) y por la sangre de la propiciación.

Abraham fue ejemplo de como se puede quitar la barrera del pecado.

"Y creyó en el Eterno, y Él se lo contó como rectitud (santidad)." Génesis 15:6

Nosotros tenemos que seguir el mismo ejemplo.

"Guardarás en perfecta paz al alma que se apoya (en Ti),
porque en Ti confía. ¡Confiad en el Señor para siempre!" Y-sha-ya (Isaías) 26:3-4 (comparar Havaqquq 2:4)

Pero Moisés dijo que falta otra cosa: la Sangre de la Propiciación.

"Porque el alma de toda criatura está ligada a la sangre, y
Yo os he ordenado ponerla sobre el altar para expiar por vuestras almas, Pues la
sangre es la que expiará por el alma." Levítico 17:11 (comparar
Levítico 10:17; 4:35)

Pero, ¿Por que quiso Dios que el hombre hiciera el hecho
horrible de matar un animal?

Cuando el pecador vió el sacrificio de sufrimiento y sangre por los pecados que él había cometido, fue impresionado con el horror del pecado y la pena de la muerte (Ezequiel 18:4, 20) que él merecía.

EL SACRIFICIO LE MOSTRÓ ESTAS COSAS ACERCA DE
DIOS:

• LA SANTIDAD--porque odia toda maldad,
  
• LA JUSTICIA--porque no deja el pecado sin castigo,
  
• LA MERCED--porque perdona libremente alarrepentido, y provee substituto para él.

DE ESTA MANERA EL SACRIFICIO DEL ANIMAL PROVEYÓ LA
SANGRE DE PROPICIACIÓN Y ERA UN ACTO DE FE ACEPTABLE A DIOS.

Pero sin sacerdocio y sin templo, no puede haber sacrificios. ¨ Como
podemos tener la sangre propiciatoria hoy?

Dios ha provisto la sangre de propiciación para hoy

"Nosotros todos, como ovejas, nos hemos extraviado; nos hemos apartado cada cual por su propio camino; y el Señor cargó sobre El la iniquidad de todos nosotros." Isaias 53.6

"Fue cortado de la tierra de los vivientes, y por la rebelión de mi pueblo fue herido." Isaias 53:8

"Y él mismo llevó el pecado de muchos." Y-sha-ya (Isaías) 53:6,8,12 Isaias 53:12

EN EL PRÓLOGO DE ISAÍAS 53 (ISAÍAS 52:13-15) EL AUTOR
IDENTIFICA A QUIEN SE REFIERE EN ESTAS CITAS.

Se describe como el siervo de Dios quien será exaltado.
En otras partes de su libro Isaías identifica este siervo de Dios como el Mesías
(por ejemplo en Isaías 42:1).

La provisión de Dios de la sangre propiciatoria por el Mesías sigue los mismos principios que Dios estableció a través del sistema de sacrificio.

LA OFRENDA DE PECADO:

propiciación para un hombre por medio de un sacrificio.

LA PASCUA: propiciación para una familia por medio de un sacrificio.

YOM KIPPUR: propiciación para un nación por medio de un sacrificio.

MESÍAS: propiciación para todos por medio de un sacrificio.

Así como hemos visto, bajo el sistema de sacrificio era necesario la fe personal además de la sangre propiciatoria. También se necesita fe con el sacrificio del Mesías. El debe ser el objeto de nuestra fe hoy.

Pero, ¿Como podemos saber quién es el Mesías?

Dios aseguró que podíamos conocer al mesías por ciertas señales especificas que le iban a identificar. Estas se encuentran en los Libros de los profetas de Israel

• Su descendencia era de la familia de David (Jeremías 23:5-6).
  
• La ciudad de su nacimiento era Belén (Miqueas 5:1).
  
• El tenía naturaleza sobrenatural (Jeremías 23:5-6, Miqueas 5:1, Isaías
  9:5-6).
  
• La manera de su ejecución era crucificción (Salmo 22:14-17).
  
• El se levantó de los muertos (Salmo 16:10, Isamas 53:10).
  
• El tiempo de su venida era antes de la destrucción del templo de
  Herodes en 70 E.C. (Daniel 9:26).

¿Tiene usted alguna idea que alguien haya cumplido estas profecías o haya estado a punto de cumplirlas?

LA HISTORIA NOS DICE QUE JESUS DE NAZARET CUMPLIO ESTAS Y MUCHAS OTRAS PROFECIAS

Hay por lo menos 48 profecías acerca del Mesías que Jesús cumplió. La probabilidad de que una persona pudiera cumplir todas las 48 profecías es una posibilidad entre 10 con 157 ceros después de él.

Durante su vida muchas personas le llamaban Mesías ("Cristo" es la traducción al griego) y creían en él. (Mateo 16:6; Juan 1:45-51; Hechos 6:7).

Desde aquel entonces muchas personas, tantos judíos como gentiles, han recibido perdón por sus pecados y han encontrado una relación personal con el Dios de Abraham, Isaac, y Jacobo por el Mesías Jesús.

Por medio de él, se llega a ser una persona completa; por ejemplo, un judío llega a ser un judío completo.

AHORA QUE LA SANGRE PROPICIATORIA HA SIDO PROVISTA POR MEDIO DEL
MESIAS JESUS, FALTA SOLAMENTE UNA COSA QUE HACER.

Ahora que la sangre propiciatoria ha sido provista por medio
del Mesías Jesús, falta solamente una cosa que hacer.

Usted tiene que recibir al Mesías Jesús en su vida por fe para tener una relacion personal con Dios y una vida que satisface y vale.

"A todos que le recibieron, a los que creen en su nombre, les dió potestad de ser hechos hijos de Dios." Juan 1:12

Cuando usted recibe al Mesías Jesús por fe (confiando en lo que él ha hecho por usted), él viene a su vida y le da el poder para vivir una vida que satisface y vale.

Jesús dice:

"He aquí, yo estoy a la puerta y llamo; si alguien oye mi voz y abre la puerta, entraré a él, y cenaré con él, y él conmigo." Apocalipsis 3:20

Algunas personas creen que el recibir al Mesías Jesús por fe significa ya no ser judio.

ESO NO ES LA VERDAD. ASI COMO DIJO JESUS:

"No penséis que he venido para abrogar la ley o las profetas; no he venido para abrogar, sino para cumplir." Mateo 5:17.

EL APOSTOL PABLO CREIA LO MISMO

"Por la esperanza de Israel estoy sujeto con esta cadena (en la carcel)." --Hechos 28:20

¿ Está usted todavía aquí?

No deje que nada le detenga-- ¿Por qué no invita usted al Mesías Jesús que te establezca una buena relación con Dios ahora mismo?

ACUERDESE,

1. Dios es la fuente de una vida que satisface y vale.
   
2. Su pecado le ha separado de Dios.
   
3. La provisón de Dios por el Mesías Jesús es la solución a la barrera de pecado que separa entre el hombre y Dios.
   
4. La única cosa que Dios le pide hacer es confiar en el Mesías Jesús para perdonar sus pecados y darle una buena relación con Dios.

USTED

puede recibir al Mesías Jesús por fe ahora mismo por la oración.

La oración es comunicar con Dios y es buena forma de expresar su fe.

Usted puede usar esta oración para expresar su decisión de aceptar al Mesías Jesús.

"Mesías Jesús, admito que he pecado. Creo que usted ha provisto la sangre propiciatoria para mi. Te recibo como mi Mesías. Gracias por perdonar mis pecados y por entrar en mi vida como tu has prometido."

El Mesías Jesús siempre cumple con sus
promesas

¿LE RECIBIÓ USTED POR FE AHORA
MISMO?
¿SABE USTED LO QUE ESTO SIGNIFICA?

Significa que las siguientes promesas ahora son aplicadas a su vida.

1. El Mesías entró en su vida, y está allí permanentamente. --(Apocalipsis 3:20, Hebreos 13:5).
   
2. Todos sus pecados son perdonados (Colosenses 2:13).
   
3. Usted tiene una relación totalmente nueva con Dios-- ¡Usted es Su hijo! (Juan 1:12).
   
4. Usted se ha cambiado a ser una persona completamente nueva adentro, ¡Y usted tiene una maravillosa vida nueva! --(2 Corintios 5:17, I Juan 5:11-13).
   
5. Usted ha sido libertado de si mismo para ayudar a otros --(Juan 8:31-35, Galatas 5:13).
   

Pues, ¿qué hago ahora?

SIGA USTED CONFIANDO EN EL MESIAS JESUS.

La manera de empezar es la manera de seguir (Colosenses 2:6, Hebreos 11:6).
Si usted sigue confiando en él, crecerá en su relación nueva.

Aquí tiene usted unas sugerencias:

1. Deje que él comunique con usted, lea sus palabras (I Pedro 2:2).
   
2. Hablele a él acerca de todo (Filipenses 4:6-7, I Pedro 5:7).
   
3. Júntese con otros que han recibido a Jesús (Hebreos 10:24-25).
   
4. Hableles a otras personas acerca de él (Hechos 1:8). Acuérdese de ser discreto y simpático.

"De todas vuestras inmundicias, y de todas vuestros ídolos os purificaré. También os daré un nuevo corazón, y pondré un espíritu nuevo en medio de vosotros. . . . . . . Pondré también Mi espíritu dentro de vosotros, y haré que andéis en mis estatutos. . . . ." -- Y-hezqel (Ezekiel) 36:25-27.
